More than 30,000 people geared up to run this year’s Boston Marathon on Monday morning. Among the thousands of spectators in attendance was Spencer, the therapy dog who became famous after cheering on last year’s runners.
During the 2018 Boston Marathon, viewers fell in love with Spencer, the Golden Retriever therapy dog who sat in the rain to cheer on runners.

Spencer returned ahead of this year’s race holding aBoston Strong flag and wearing a brand new raincoat.

“A little wet again this year, but much better than last year,” Powers wrote in a second post.
Spencer’s sister Penny sat out of the race due to the weather, but she still supports every runner.
